Reflections on Dhamma practice with Ajahn Pavaro

Reflections on Dhamma practice with Ajahn Pavaro

We are grateful to Ajahn Pavaro for visiting at Nalanda, his second time since 2019.

On Sunday 12 March, we were honoured to host Ven. Ajahn Pavaro at Nalanda Centre, a day after the retreat led by Ajahn at Wisdom Park.  In his Dhamma talk, Ajahn advised us to be relentless in our practise of the Noble Eightfold Path, even if we do not yet perceive the results which we expect.

The practice is so subtle, that changes in behaviours are usually observed over a period of time by those close to us.  Ajahn reminded us that this is why spiritual friendship is important; kalyana mittas have our well-being in mind and keep us honest in our practice.

The congregation pays their respects to Ajahn Pavaro.

Ajahn advised that when we always bring to mind teachings of the Buddha, these seeds of Dhamma will grow within.

Ajahn said that those who have a tendency for anger, also have a capacity for more compassion.

Devotees had opportunities to ask questions at the talk.

Ajahn also advised that it is important for us to constantly practise patience and understanding for each other because we all have different tendencies and condition.  Listen to Ajahn Pavaro’s talk here.

Offering of dana to Ajahn, after the service.

Devotees gladly offer dana to Ajahn Pavaro.

We hope that Ajahn will visit us at Nalanda again, to guide us in our practice.
