Representatives from the Society led the congregation in making offerings to the Maha Sangha.
On Sunday 17 November, Nalanda members and devotees gathered for the commemoration of the annual ‘Sangha Day’ at Nalanda Centre. Together with their family members and friends, the congregation started the service with meditation, offerings, chanting, and listened attentively to the Dhamma talks about the significance of the Sangha community.
At the same time, Dhamma School students also developed a better understanding about the important role of the Sangha, and even prepared requisites with much thought to the daily needs of a monk. Hence with much gratitude and appreciation in our hearts, the elderly, families and good friends presented their offerings to the Sangha members in the heartfelt ceremony.
On observance days, members together pay respects to our late spiritual adviser Venerable K. Sri Dhammananda and all departed teachers, in the customary ‘Achariya Abhivādana’.
