In late May, Nalanda Centre was honoured by the visit by most Venerable Sayadaw U Nandasiddhi – a well-known meditation teacher and abbot of Nirodhārama Meditation Centre in Ayer Tawar, Perak.  Sayadawgyi was a disciple of the late Sayadaw U Panditābhivamsa, who passed away just a few months ago.

After a warm welcome by Nalandians, Sayadaw Nandasiddhi was brought on a building tour accompanied by a few of his followers.  Sayadawgyi was impressed and happy to see the progress of Nalanda and its focus on education and cultivation.

Venerable U Vijaya from Indonesia, who happened to be staying at Nalanda Centre, also took the opportunity to pay respect to Sayadaw Nandasiddhi.  The two venerables had a warm and lively sharing of ideas in the Reception Room.
