On Saturday 19 April, stall vendors and market-goers at the Seri Kembangan market had the opportunity to offer alms at the pindacāra led by Ven. Bhikkhuni Anupama. Her presence lent a sense of serenity, invoking faith amongst those who witness this tradition which traces back over 2,600 years to the time of the Buddha. Not leaving empty-handed, supporters were invited to join ‘Buddha Day’ Observance at Nalanda from 10 to 18 May.
Following the alms round, volunteers gathered at Nalanda Centre to offer lunch dāna to Ayya. Having last visited us years ago, before the pandemic, Ayya Anupama expressed her joy at seeing the continued dedication of members to bring Dhamma to the community and nurture the Buddha’s teachings in daily life.
We rejoice in the community coming together to cultivate generosity, kindness and selfless service. We also extend our appreciation to Ayya Anupama for her words of advice and encouragement. May Ayya always be blessed with good health and success in her noble endeavours.
