Nalandians dressed in their traditional uniform for the monthly ‘Samaggi Day’.

On 30 August, Nalandians gathered at NEO Centre Johor Bahru in their uniforms to observe ‘Samaggi Day’ during Service Sunday.  In remembrance of our late teacher Venerable Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda Nāyaka Thero, Branch Chairman Bro. David Yap recollected how the great qualities of the much-respected and beloved late venerable had inspired him.

After offerings to the ‘Three Jewels’, Nalanda Dhamma School (NDS) Johor Bahru facilitators had a meeting with parents to provide updates on students’ progress and to foster better relationship between parents and facilitators.  Sis. Ann Yap shared the approaches and system applied by the School, and emphasised the importance of continuous Dhamma learning, practice and cultivation for personal transformation.

Later, interview sessions were held between facilitators and parents to obtain feedback on students’ progress at home.  We thank both facilitators and parents for playing active roles for the holistic development of our children.  Sadhu anumodana!
