On Saturday 26 July, seven senior EXCO members from Subang Jaya Buddhist Association (SJBA) led by their President, Bro. Chim Siew Choon, made a study-visit to Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang. The SJBA leaders were warmly welcomed by Nalanda President Bro. Lee Kong Foo and Nalandian officers.

The visitors were brought on a 2-hour tour of Nalanda Centre and Youth Centre by host Bro. Charlie Teng.  They were impressed with the aesthetics and functionality of the Centre.  The excellent facilities are conducive to learning, yet more significantly, there were so many ‘hidden Dhamma meanings’ incorporated into the building design.

The visitors were impressed with the excellent set-up of Nalanda Youth Centre and Library.

After the tour, the visitors and their hosts enjoyed light refreshments at Pustaka Nalanda while exchanging ideas.  Sis. Buddhini Tan then presented a video on the ‘Nalanda Journey’ to introduce our programmes to the visitors.

The visitors were shown a video presentation about Nalanda's programmes in the library.

SJBA and Nalanda Buddhist Society are both founding-members of the Theravada Buddhist Council of Malaysia.  This visit has further cemented our mutual understanding and solidarity in advancing the Buddhist cause. SJBA also generously donated to Nalanda’s Building Fund to help with our on-going expansion project.  We thank our SJBA friends for your kind visit and support.  We look forward to receiving more visits by SJBA members soon at Nalanda Centre.
