Sowing Dhamma seeds in National Service trainees

Sowing Dhamma seeds in National Service trainees

One for the album! A joyful gathering of the latest batch of NS trainees at Nalanda Centre.

A warm send-off on 9 March marked the end of a 3-month-long Training Programme at Nalanda Centre for 56 National Service trainees from Semenyih Camp.  In the eight sessions spent learning and growing together, the National Service trainees were exposed to basic understanding on Buddhism.  The Nalanda programme also enabled trainees to learn important skills, values and culture that would support and serve them well throughout their lives.

At the end of the last session, many trainees expressed their heart-felt appreciation to Nalanda Youth Centre for not only hosting them every Sunday afternoon, but also enriching their lives spiritually.  Many trainees also wished to continue their spiritual journey with Nalanda after their National Service stint.

A trainee sharing his appreciation and learning experience at Nalanda with everyone.

We wish our wonderful NS trainees all the best in their future undertakings.  May the blessings of the Three Jewels be with them always!

After weeks of meditation, trainees were able to experience deeper calmness and tranquility.
