Mr. Khaw and devotees offering Sanghika Dāna to six monks from Sungai Petani.

On Saturday 30 August, many Nalanda Sungai Petani Branch members gathered at Mr. Khaw Kheng Hooi’s orchard in Gurun to offer Sanghika Dāna.  The gathering was also a timely one in view of the SP Branch’s upcoming event – a fund-raising concert scheduled on 18 October 2014.

After lunch, Sis. Yen See, our concert ticketing controller, gave out tickets to members for sale and distribution.  The purpose of the concert is to raise funds for the building of Nalanda Education & Outreach (NEO) Centre in Sungai Petani.  With the proposed facility from where the SP Branch will operate, we hope to bring holistic Buddhist education to benefit more people in Kedah, Perlis, and Penang.  Sadhu anumodana.
