Sunday, 17 March was Nalanda Patron’s Day Observance. We were privileged to commemorate this day with our friends from Singapore Buddhist Fellowship. Together, we listened to and discussed the Dhamma with Mr. Benny Liow, as he spoke on the topic of 'Morality' (Sila).

On 31 December 2012, Nalanda members and devotees gathered at the Sri Serdang Nalanda Centre following an annual tradition to reflect on the passing of 2012, and to usher in the New Year. Dressed in elegant Nalanda sarong uniforms, devotees greeted each other joyfully with words of thanks, mutual appreciation, and encouragement.

The fundraising musical was in aid of Nalanda Education & Development Fund, to help needy Malaysian students obtain holistic guidance and all-rounded education.
Read more1 May is designated ‘Nalanda Day’; it marks the 9th anniversary of Nalanda’s founding. On this day, Nalandians congregated for morning devotion at the Shrine Hall, before gathering in the Srivijaya Hall, where important Society events are usually held.
Among the many significant ‘news’ for the day were the launchings of Nalanda’s revised website, our new uniform, our first vehicle – a reconditioned, used-van generously donated by Mr. Chan Fong, and “Nalanda-Macro” – an important document outlining Nalanda’s Transformation Programme and our organizational goals for the next one year.
Nalanda Buddhist Society is poised to progress further with the opening of its first Education & Outreach (NEO) Centre in Happy Garden, Kuala Lumpur. The new satelite centre will enable the Society to extend its educational services to a wider community.
