Today marks the 160th day since the Nalanda Centre Building Expansion Project began in mid-May. Overall, the annex building is 83% completed, while the remaining work is progressing well. The new roof structure spanning two lots is also 100% done. For these past few months, we are very thankful to have achieved a 100% safety record, thanks to good cooperation from the consultants, builders, sub-contractors, and Nalandians.

On Sunday 21 September, Nalanda Buddhist Society members from Sri Serdang and Kuala Lumpur Branch gathered for a ‘family’ reunion at our ‘spiritual home’ – Nalanda Centre – for another Members’ Day. The gathering started with a piece of good news – our youths’ effort in producing a video titled ‘Hope’ for Siddharthan Care Centre won the best short film category in a recent competition. The inspiring video was shown to Nalandians, and everyone rejoiced at the achievement of Bro. Andrew Tan, Bro. Gan Jia Cheng and Sis. Tan Ee Yean. Read more
Today marks the 130th day since the Nalanda Centre Building Expansion Project began. In just another 50 days, the construction and renovation work should be wholly completed! Currently, work is concentrated at Level 4 and the roof structure. We have also started landscaping the surroundings of Nalanda Centre. Volunteers spent a few days last week to clean up the neighbourhood, and planted suitable shrubs to enhance the experience of visitors to the Centre.

With the floor slab completed, the workers are busy working on the roof structure presently.
