In October 2016, Nalanda Centre was honoured to host a visit by Venerable Ayya Santinī, a senior Theravada bhikkhuni from Indonesia. Nalandians grabbed the opportunity to invite Ayya Santinī for a Dhamma talk after our weekly Wednesday meditation session.

On Wednesday 2 November, Bro. Tan was invited to the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus in Semenyih, Selangor, to give a Dhamma talk. More than 50 students turned up for his talk on what constitutes ‘true friendship’.

During a recent Sunday Service dedicated to the memory of the late Venerable Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda to mark the 10th anniversary of his passing, Nalanda achariyas recollected heart-warming tales of their association with this remarkable ‘Dhammaduta’ (missionary monk).
