We would like to inform you that Nalanda Centre in Sri Serdang will be closed from Monday 24 January to Sunday, 6 February for the Lunar New Year holidays.  The Centre will reopen to the public on Monday, 7 February at 10am.

On this auspicious 'Buddha Day' of the Buddhist Era 2565, we extend our greetings to respected members of the Māha Sangha, brothers and sisters in Dhamma.  Today is the Full-moon Day of Vesakhā month.  Buddhists worldwide celebrate the thrice-sacred Buddha Day to commemorate the Birth, Enlightenment, and Passing of Buddha Gotama.  In this holy month, it is also timely for us to reflect on our existence by reviewing the past, assessing the present and planning a future course of action towards a more meaningful, peaceful, and happy life.

Our best wishes for ‘Aidilfitri’

Nalanda Buddhist Society wishes our Muslim friends a peaceful celebration on the arrival of Syawal today.  While festivities are likely to be muted again this year with the reinstatement of lockdown in Malaysia, the spirit of gratitude and forgiveness need not be diminished.  With the help of technology, we can still connect with our loved ones whilst safeguarding their health by minimising the risk of exposure to them.
