Family Fun Fair is back!

Sunday, 31 July | 9 am – 4 pm | Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang

The much-anticipated ‘NALANDA FAMILY FUN FAIR’ is back this year on 31 July!  This year’s ‘Family Fun Fair’ will feature over 160 stalls offering a wide range of food, beverages, household items, handicrafts, and merchandise.  There will also be cultural shows and performances by youths and students.  In short, it is going to be a wonderful outing for families and friends while supporting a noble cause!

Nalanda Family Fun Fair 2016

Nalanda Family Fun Fair aims to raise funds for a new Dhamma learning facility – the K. Sri Dhammananda Centre in Sri Serdang.  Once completed, it will provide opportunities for more children and teenagers to attend Dhamma School.  We humbly invite you to be part of this important community project, and make a significant contribution to the development of holistic education.

Just another month to completion!

Construction of Nalanda Education & Outreach Centre in Sungai Petani is entering its last phase.  82% of scheduled work has been completed, and the Centre is on schedule for its officiating ceremony next month!

Good progress at Sungai Petani Centre

On Tuesday 6 October, Bro. Tan made a quick visit to the Nalanda Education & Outreach Centre building site in Sungai Petani.  He was met there by Branch Chairman Bro. Khaw and Committee members Sis. Sumedha, Bro. Fong and Dr. Song.  Bro. Tan spent several hours inspecting the construction progress as well as chatted with the contractors.  He expressed joy in seeing everyone’s dedication to complete the Centre on time, and with quality work.

‘Family Fun Fair’ is at Johor Bahru!

Nalanda ‘Family Fun Fair’ (FFF) will be held in Johor Bahru for the first time ever this Sunday 13 September, from 8am to 2pm.  Dozens of stalls will be offering visitors a variety of food, beverages, souvenirs, and merchandise.  The ‘Fun Fair’ is held in aid of our ‘Education & Development Fund’.  Proceeds from the Fair will be channeled to support educational programmes of Nalanda Free School, Dhamma School and Library.

We’re ready for Family Fun Fair!

After weeks of diligent preparation, Nalandians spent the whole of today in making final touches for the much-anticipated ‘Family Fun Fair’ tomorrow.  Since this morning, Nalanda members have been arriving at Sri Serdang from Kedah, Johor and Kuala Lumpur branches to help out. Our friends from Kelantan, Perak, Singapore and elsewhere also came to work alongside joyfully. Nalanda Centre was truly a hive of activity!

All geared up for Nalanda ‘Family Fun Fair’!

On Sunday 3 August, the dynamic and dedicated organising team of Nalanda’s ‘Family Fun Fair’ held three separate pre-event briefing sessions with volunteers.  Briefing for the Nalanda Dhamma School (NDS) students and youths were conducted by NDS facilitators and Youth Leaders respectively in the morning, whilst the ‘Family Fun Fair’ (FFF) organising chairperson, Sis. Evelyn briefed the adult volunteers in the afternoon session.
