Nalanda Members’ Day in June

Nalanda members from Sri Serdang and Kuala Lumpur Branches are requested to attend our monthly Members’ Day this Saturday 17 June, from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm, at Nalanda Centre.  In the midst of our Gimhāna Retreat, it is also timely that we gather to encourage one another in strengthening our Dhamma learning and practice.

First Nalanda Members’ Day in 2017

Nalanda members held our first Members’ Day in 2017 on Saturday, 18 February to review the Society’s latest developments.  Nalandians were briefed about major upcoming events including Nalanda e-Run on 16 April and the National Members’ Convention from 29 April to 1 May.

Year-long goodness worth celebrating

On Sunday 4 December, Nalanda members gathered in celebratory spirits for the final Members’ Day of 2016.  Founder Bro. Tan graced the big family gathering, commenting that 2016 has indeed been an amazing and successful year for Nalanda.  This success is also found in the intangible spiritual advancement of individual Nalandians.

Building a strong community

On Saturday 9 April, Nalandians from the Klang Valley gathered for their monthly Members’ Day meeting to deliberate and discuss on matters involving the Society.  During the gathering, Nalanda founder Bro. Tan shared about the Buddha’s teaching to Venerable Ananda in the Mahāparinibbāna Sutta (DN 16) on the conditions which would contribute to the progress of a community.

Nalandians meet on festive day

On Sunday 27 September, Nalandians in the Klang Valley gathered at Nalanda Centre in Sri Serdang for their monthly Members’ Day.  As it was also the Mid-Autumn Festival, Nalanda Buddhist Society President Sis. Evelyn Chow likened the gathering to a family reunion, remarking that unity and harmony are values highly regarded in Buddhism.
