On 15 and 19 June, a workshop themed “The Young Buddhist Monk and His Role in the New Millennium” was held for Sri Lankan missionary monks based in Malaysia. The two-day, multiple-session workshop was held at the Brickfields Buddhist Maha Vihara and the Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple in Sentul.

Ayya used the ongoing renovations at Nalanda Centre as an analogy for one’s spiritual journey. Hence, ‘Pindacāra’ means to collect food by going on alms-round.

Kumāra gave a Mandarin Dhamma talk at NEO Centre JB, with the title ‘如何面对负性思维和感受’ (“How to overcome negative thoughts and emotions” ). The talk was most relevant as nowadays people are stretched and stressed beyond limit by many commitments and engagements. The Shrine Hall was packed with devotees eager to enhance their well-being.
