On Saturday 17 May, a team of Nalandian youths distributed food to the homeless on the streets of Kuala Lumpur. Accompanied by Nalanda KL Branch Chairman Bro. Eugene Yong and Dharma School Facilitator Bro. Choong Li, the Youth team spent an hour around midnight combing the streets near Pudu Sentral to offer food to people living on the streets.

Tong Siong Yeow, and their host the BFI Committee, visited Tzu Chi Foundation’s newly-established centre in North Jakarta. In his speech, BGF President Dato’ Seri Dr. Victor Wee thanked everyone who have contributed to the advancement of BGF over the past two and a half decades.

Read moreOn Sunday 1 December, a team of 12 Nalandians attended a “Building Fund-Raising Luncheon” organized by Serdang Buddhist Association at Hee Lai Ton Restaurant, Seri Kembangan. From its humble beginnings 24 years ago, Serdang Buddhist Association has contributed much to the community through various programmes and activities. As part of their expansion plan, a new building to cater for the Association’s activities is being planned.

The BCA is a loose alliance of 5 Buddhist organisations in the South Klang Valley. Nalanda President Bro. Lee Kong Foo is currently the rotating Chairman of the alliance.
