After some renovation and sprucing up, the Nalanda Youth Centre will be officially launched this Thursday, 1 May 2014, in conjunction with Nalanda’s 11th Anniversary celebrations.

Read moreFor the past few weeks, Pustaka Nalanda librarians have been busy cataloging and arranging books at the new Youth Library located at Level 3 of Nalanda Youth Centre**. Before this, the Youth Library temporarily occupied ‘Sucinta Room’, which will now house the Chinese Books Section instead.
Read moreA warm send-off on 9 March marked the end of a 3-month-long Training Programme at Nalanda Centre for 56 National Service trainees from Semenyih Camp. In the eight sessions spent learning and growing together, the National Service trainees were exposed to basic understanding on Buddhism. The Nalanda programme also enabled trainees to learn important skills, values and culture that would support and serve them well throughout their lives.
Read moreAfter 3 months of renovation, the Nalanda Youth Centre was finally opened for use on Saturday, 1 March. The Youth Section and Dharma School teenagers have started using the facility since then. Nalanda Free School classes will also be shifting there in stages beginning April.

Their arrival was warmly greeted by Nalanda youths, who have for the past two months organised a series of interesting activities which aimed at sharing basic Dhamma knowledge with the trainees.
