On Saturday, 31 August, Nalanda received a visit from the Persatuan Buddha Wakaf Bharu Dhamma Class. The 47 Kelantanese Dhamma Class teachers and students were on an excursion to gain a better understanding and more exposure to the wider Buddhist community in Kuala Lumpur.

The 36 students were representing Bandar Utama Buddhist Society Sunday Dhamma School, BMSM Samadhi Vihara, Kinrara Metta Buddhist Society Sunday Dhamma School, Nalanda Dharma School, and Shah Alam Buddhist Society Sunday Dhamma School.

Aggaphala Yap Hock Heng guided participants in exploring their personal interests and priorities, leading them on a journey of self-discovery. It was a thought-provoking and highly interactive session as the youngsters took the opportunity to clarify and find out more about how they can translate what they like to do into potential future career options!
A most inspiring ‘Dhamma Appreciation Night’ was recently held on 24 May to celebrate the Wesak full-moon Buddha Day. The dynamic performances that evening delighted the audience with its youthful zest and brilliant comedic effects. The night’s 3 performances were specially presented by a team of dedicated young Nalandians, who were ably guided by Nalanda Institute’s Director, Mr. Vijaya Samarawickrama.
