Nalanda Founder Bro. Tan undertook a 5-day tour to Singapore earlier this month and gave several teachings to various groups, including to members of Buddhist Fellowship, Firefly Mission, undergraduate fellowship, and at the Buddha Dhamma Mandala Society (BDMS). Bro. Tan also visited Ven. H Gunaratana and Ven. B Dhammaratana at the Buddhist Library, as well as Ven. S Dhammika at BDMS. It was a fruitful trip as he was fully engaged with many Dhamma activities.

On Monday 4 November, 90 members of Firefly Mission Singapore led by its President Dr. Ng Yee Kong descended upon Nalanda Centre for a half-day visit. Our Singaporean kinsmen were on the way home after participating in a Kathina Tour to Northern Malaysia.
Read moreIt was another packed weekend at NEO Centre as Bro.Tan came on his monthly visit to Johor Bahru. He gave a Dhamma teaching in English on Saturday 24 August, in memory of Sis. GG Tan, Julie Ang, Lee Ah Yem, and Jennie Cheong who passed away in an accident 4 years ago while on a visit to India. Bro. Tan gave another uplifting talk in Mandarin on Sunday 25 August, in honour of Nalanda's late Spiritual Advisor Ven. Dr. K Sri Dhammananda Nayaka Thero.

How Chee Seng from Suttarama Kuala Terengganu came visiting. The President and Dhamma Propagation Director of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore also made a 2-day visit starting Sunday.

They chose to have their retreat here so that there can be cultural exchanges with Nalandian youths. It was indeed a great choice as there were plenty of learning and sharing every day, as the youth leaders interacted amongst themselves and with Nalanda’s key-drivers.

On 16 March, members of Singapore Buddhist Fellowship (BF) arrived at Nalanda Centre to a warm welcome and hearty lunch. They were then guided on a tour of the building before proceeding to a “Meet-the-Author” session with Mr. Vijaya Samarawickrama.

The group of 74 people was very happy to be guided on a tour of Nalanda Centre, with many admiring the Centre’s unique Srivijayan interior design and its rich Buddhist symbolism.
