We stand with the citizens of Belgium and Brussels at this difficult moment.

“Months ago they struck Paris… and now, Brussels.  Those terrorists perform murderous acts to put fear and hate into our minds.  They want to disrupt our peaceful and productive lives.  Such acts of terrorism should be censured and denounced, no question about that.  But we should not give in to hatred (towards the terrorists).  It is easy to hate people who want to harm and kill the innocent; but please don’t give in to that.

“If we develop hatred (towards them), we then resemble and embolden them even more.  Terrorists justify their cowardly acts when we hate.  Hatred only fuels more hatred; that is truth eternal.

“For now, let us unite with compassionate hearts and dedicate our prayers to the victims of the Brussels Airport and Metro attacks.  We offer our deepest condolences to the families of the unfortunate ones who died in this incident.  And may those injured recover soonest…” – Bro.Tan
