Thank you for supporting WIFF 2015

Thank you for supporting WIFF 2015

Nalanda Dharma School students performed a brilliant dance-drama at WIFF 2015 on 27 June.

The Wesak International Film Festival (WIFF) 2015 in Kuala Lumpur has come to an end last night.  More than 20 films and documentaries were shown over two weekends on 20–21 and 27–28 June at the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MATIC), Jalan Ampang.

We would like to thank our co-organisers of this wonderful event – the Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia (YBAM) and Buddhist Gem Fellowship (BGF) for their cooperation.  Special thanks to Bro. Benny Liow for his inspiring spark and able leadership.  We are also grateful to the 10 local Buddhist societies which supported WIFF this year.

Opening night of WIFF on Saturday, 20 June, attended by venerables and Buddhist leaders.

The event would not have been successful without the efforts of many volunteers who labored with joy for months before the festival.  We thank the film producers, copyright owners, KL City Hall, MATIC, relevant agencies, organisations and individuals for your great support.  We also thank our earnest Nalandian team for volunteering at the venue, providing transportation, logistics, and much more.

WIFF Co-ordinator Sis. Buddhini briefing Nalanda volunteers on their roles at the venue.

We thank all earnest Nalandians for your time and effort in supporting WIFF 2015. Sadhu anumodana!

Last but not least, our gratitude and appreciation to all visitors to WIFF 2015.  We hope you have enjoyed the variety of shows at the festival, and we look forward to seeing you again.  Thank you all.
