The blessings of giving generously

The blessings of giving generously

Giving respectfully and with joy.

On Saturday 19 October, dozens of market-goers, stall operators and volunteers joined the monthly Pindacāra (monks on alms-round) programme at the Seri Kembangan markets.   Many of them relish this opportunity to make offerings to monastics and having prepared in advance, will keep a keen eye out for the monks’ arrival every third Saturday of the month.

Liberal giving is one of the greatest blessings, as taught by the Buddha in the Mangala Sutta and we rejoice over the community’s wholesome deeds.  We also invite you to partake in making offerings to support the monastic community, at Nalanda’s ‘Sangha Day’ Observance on Sunday 17 November held at Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang.

Market stall operators are grateful for the opportunity to do this good deed even as they tend to their business activities.

Parents bring their children along to learn the importance of giving.

Members and volunteers all ready to serve.

Please register in the link below at https://forms.gle/uBEc4gNK8J1hxzDZA to make donations towards the ‘Sangha Fund’ for their educational, health and supportive needs, and also to offer robes and requisites.  The Service starts at 9am and includes the offering of lunch dāna to venerable monks.  Sadhu.

Venerable monk gave a short Dhamma sharing before the offering of lunch dana.
