The passing of a legend – Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, the ‘Father of modern Singapore’.

Nalanda Buddhist Society Malaysia records our deepest condolences to the Government and People of Singapore, as well as to the first family on the passing of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, the First Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore.

Mr. Lee Kuan Yew had led a nascent country with few natural resources except a hardworking populace to become today’s prosperous nation – globally-recognized for her modernity and quality of life.  He was endowed with clear vision and personal discipline.  He also had a strong sense of duty to his people, and leadership integrity in public service.

May he attain Peace.
