“Nalanda Patron’s Day” (on 18 March) is an annual programme to commemorate and appreciate all our donors, benefactors and volunteers who have contributed tremendously to the growth of Nalanda Buddhist Society, and to the development of Buddhist education in Malaysia.

Nalandians will be offering pūja at 7.30am, and perform the Achariya-abhivādana at 8.45am today, for the well-being of all our benefactors, past and present.  We will also transfer merits to those who have passed away.

The first “Nalanda Patron’s Day” was observed on 18 March 2007, in conjunction with the birth anniversary of our late Spiritual Adviser, Ven. Dr. K Sri Dhammananda Nayaka Thero.  The late venerable was an avid supporter of Nalanda, having graced all major events in our early years before his demise on 31 August 2006.

This year marks the 10th “Patron’s Day” for Nalandians.  We invite you to join us for a day of reflection, meditation and appreciation at Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang, where the main celebration is being held.  All are welcome.
