Tzu Chi Officers’ learning visit to Nalanda

Tzu Chi Officers’ learning visit to Nalanda

Tzu Chi officers warmly welcomed and hosted by Nalandians at Nalanda Centre.

On 14 March, 3 officers from 慈濟Tzu Chi Malaysia visited Nalanda Centre to learn about the model and operations of Nalanda Free School.  The officers were received by Nalanda Free School Chief Coordinator Sis. Nandinī Tan, and Board Member Bro. Charlie Teng.

The Tzu Chi officers were shown around Nalanda Centre and the ongoing Free School classes.  They expressed their admiration for Nalanda because of its excellent track record of educational services to the community.  Nalandians in return expressed our great admiration for Tzu Chi’s impactful and far-reaching social services over the world.

Nalanda Free School started in 2010, and we now have 40 classes run at 3 locations – Sri Serdang, Happy Garden Kuala Lumpur, and Johor Bahru – accommodating more than 500 needy Malaysian students.

We welcome enquiries from motivated volunteers who would like to contribute your time and effort in advancing community education.  Please contact Nalanda Office at 03-8938-1500 and speak with Sis. Nandinī for further information.  Thank you!
