Ven. Prof. K.L. Dhammajoti teaches at NEO Centre KL

Devotees were very grateful for the opportunity to learn from Ven. Dhammajoti.

On Thursday February 20, Nalanda members and devotees warmly welcomed Venerable Prof. K.L. Dhammajoti to NEO Centre in Happy Garden for a Dhamma teaching.  In today’s busy world where many become more interested in calming the mind, Ven. Dhammajoti aptly shared about the importance of Buddhist meditation and how we should approach it in a holistic manner.

Our spiritual path is built upon three integrated pillars – sīla (morality), samādhi (concentration), and paññā (wisdom).  Grounded in wholesome conduct, we develop concentration and clarity in the mind needed to gain liberating insight into the true nature of reality.  He also shared that the guidance of wise teachers and mutual support from fellow practitioners are crucial conditions on the path of practice.

Listening attentively to the teaching.

Ven. Dhammajoti reminded us that meditation is an integral part of the overall practice, and the precepts, concentration, and wisdom form an inseparable whole.

Precious opportunities to ask questions to clear our doubts.

Bro. Yong Keok Fatt, Chairman of the Nalanda KL Branch, represents the Society and devotees in thanking Ven. Dhammajoti.

We extend our appreciation to Ven. Dhammajoti for his guidance which encourages us to persist in our development of all the three pillars. May venerable sir be in the best of health and may all your noble endeavours succeed.  You may access the full talk at https://youtu.be/XtGBx229wpE.
