Video – 5th Memorial of Venerable Dhammavuddho

22 December 2024 marks the 5th anniversary of the passing of Venerable Dhammavuddho Mahāthero, a Malaysian monk of Chinese descent who dedicated his life to Dhamma. The late Ven. Dhammavuddho founded Vihara Buddha Gotama, a forest monastery in Perak that serves as a training facility for monks and those aspiring to be monks, as well as for the laity to study and practise Dhamma.

Catch a glimpse of this moving production featuring an interview with Ven. Dhammavuddho before his passing in 2019. In this production, Ven. Dhammavuddho shares about his motivation to become a monk and what the life of a Buddhist monk is, featuring scenes from Vihara Buddha Gotama, Temoh in Perak.

Let us pay tribute to this astute practitioner of Dhamma by reading his books or listening to his recorded talks on the Sutta-Vināya, and thereafter dedicate merits to him. With reverence and gratitude in our hearts, we wish Ven. Dhammavuddho the highest blessings of Peace. May he attain the final bliss of Nibbāna.

“The Dhamma is a compass that gives us the right direction in life. We use it in our everyday life, reflecting on our bodily actions, our speech, our mind (feelings, thoughts, perceptions, attitudes, etc.), the Dhamma, to develop our minds (bhavana) and our character.”
