Visit by Buddhist Fellowship Youth, Singapore

Bro. Tan with youths from Buddhist Fellowship Singapore and Nalanda Youth Centre.

From 19 to 21 June, Nalanda Youth Centre was honoured to host the vibrant youth and their mentors from the Buddhist Fellowship of Singapore for their annual retreat.  Our Singaporean friends had several inspiring and fruitful ‘Dhamma Chat’ sessions with Nalanda Founder, Bro. Tan who guided them on Buddhist Leadership which also benefited the Nalandian youths.  There was an interactive session among the youth to exchange views and ideas on the programme of their respective Youth Centre.

Burst of laughter during inspiring ‘Dhamma Chat’ with Bro. Tan!

The group had opportunity to participate in Pindacāra (Monks going on alms-round) at the Seri Kembangan morning market.  They also joined the Wesak International Film Festival (WIFF) at the Malaysian Tourism Centre whereby Buddhist-themed movies, documentaries and animation were being shown.

Youth Leader, Bro. DiSheng thanking our Singaporean friends for visiting Nalanda.

The 3-day annual retreat was a wonderful learning platform for both Buddhist Fellowship youth and Nalandian youths alike.  Our friendship had definitely strengthened and we thank our Singaporean friends for visiting Nalanda.  We look forward to welcoming them ‘home’ again.  Sadhu anumodana!
