From 31 January to 1 February, Sis. Santi and Sis. Siaw Kim from Pustaka Nalanda Sri Serdang visited the branch library at NEO Centre Johor Bahru. They had a fruitful discussion with the branch librarians and volunteers about sorting and re-organising the library catalogue. In addition, both sisters also presented the ‘2015 Library Plans’ and updates on the OPAC System.
During Service Sunday on 1 February, Sis. Santi gave a Dhamma sharing on ‘Sīla’. For lay people, observing the Five Precepts is the basic practice of good behaviour and virtuous conduct. During Uposatha days, one can undertake extra precepts to refine one’s ‘Sīla’. For those who upkeep ‘Sīla’, their conscience is clear, and they have confidence wherever they go.
Devotees were later invited to share their experiences in practising Dhamma. The members of Nalanda Johor Bahru Branch expressed deep appreciation to Sis. Santi and Sis. Siaw Kim for their effort in serving Pustaka Nalanda, and for sharing the Dhamma. Wishing both sisters joy, happiness and peace. Sadhu anumodana!
