In the past weeks since 16 July, participants of the first Horticulture and Landscape course (HCL 001) have joyfully gathered every Saturday at Wisdom Park to learn basic horticulture skills. The classes are conducted by Dr. Chen Xing Wei Ph.D. (Horticulture), lead of the Landscaping Team at Wisdom Park.
In this 8-week course, participants are introduced to topics including plant classification & identification, basic plant anatomy, plant propagation, tree planting, composting, landscape maintenance and soil management. In each session, there is also hands-on field practice for participants to better learn and be equipped to maintain the lush landscape at the educational facility.
We rejoice in the learning spirit of our participants and regular volunteers who ventured into adopting a new skill as part of their service to the community. May your wholesome intentions and good deeds be supporting conditions in your Dhamma journey. Sa
