The Wesak International Film Festival (WIFF) opens in Kuala Lumpur this weekend! This is the fourth time that Buddhist organizations in Malaysia are collectively organizing the festival to showcase the best in Buddhist films as part of the annual Wesak celebrations.
WIFF 2015 presents all kinds of Buddhist-themed films – ranging from full-length movies, to documentaries, animation, and children’s shows. Its objective is to create greater awareness of Buddhism among the general public through the medium of films.
The festival will be held at the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MATIC), 109 Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. Screening days are on (Saturdays and Sundays) 20-21 and 27-28 June.
