Today 10 October, is World Mental Health Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about mental well-being. This year’s theme is “Mental Health at Work,” recognising the vital role our workplaces play in influencing our mental health.
Work-related stress, burnout, and anxiety are increasingly common. Mental health at work is not just about preventing stress but fostering a conducive environment where individuals feel supported and valued.
Practising mindfulness at work helps us become more aware of our thoughts and actions, fostering compassion and understanding in our interactions with colleagues.
On this day, let’s take time to reflect on how our work environments affect our mental well-being and how we can cultivate more wholesome, supportive workplaces. By prioritising mental health at work, we can create healthier and more productive spaces that benefit both individuals and organisations.
We wish you good mental health today and every day. Sukhihontu.
