Youths energetic in service

Come to the ‘Youth Canopy’ and be inspired by our young volunteers!

Over 95 youths from around Klang Valley are coming together to join Nalanda Youth Centre’s activities at the Family Fun Fair this Sunday.  Comprising mainly college students and young working adults, they have been thorough in planning and implementing activities that help both the community and the environment.

This year’s ‘Youth Canopy’ will have a variety of food and drinks for sale, as well as a charitable booth for the public to sponsor ‘Care Bags’ for the less fortunate and ‘Health Checks’ for basic health indicators.  They will also be managing the entire Fun Fair’s recycling and waste reduction programme as part of the ‘Go Green’ initiative.

Youths come together to serve the community at the Family Fun Fair.

Volunteers joyfully participated in the ‘pre-sales’.

Youths are providing a basic ‘Health check’ for the benefit of fair-goers.

Volunteers were briefing on their roles and activities of ‘Youth Canopy’.

The task of recycling and reducing waste is led by the Youth Centre.

Come and support our youths, who earnestly volunteer their time and service, at Nalanda Family Fun Fair this Sunday 28 July.  Funds raised will support the construction of Wisdom Park, an educational facility to train competent Dhamma teachers and leaders, and to expand the operations of Nalanda Institute, Dhamma School, and Free School.  All are welcome!
