Last Saturday 4 November, participants of the Fellowship Undergraduate Network (F.U.N.) combined their fourth learning session with performing service at Wisdom Park. The university students worked together and supported each other in making quick work of turning around the facilities for the next two programmes at the educational campus.
In their learning session, the group were guided in understanding more about service, and how this forms an important part of our spiritual cultivation. As volunteers, much of what we do is for the purpose of benefitting others’ well-being such as providing sustenance and a conducive place to learn; hence it is important to put ourselves aside, and consider what others need, in order to truly offer selfless service.
These moments of selflessness are often accompanied by the arising of inner joy, because we focus less on ourselves which leads to a more peaceful and contented mind. We thank F.U.N for their service and look forward to hosting your next session which will be held this Saturday 11 November at Nalanda Centre. See you this weekend!
