Youths show “Kindness is Priceless” at Family Fun Fair

Joy in everyone’s hearts after 8 hours of working together to serve the community.

At the heart of this year’s Family Fun Fair are the Youth Canopies, run by over 120 young working adults and undergraduates from across the peninsula, who gathered to render their selfless service.  With just weeks of planning after Wesak, the youths set up 18 stalls, an exhibition to reach out to the community and also drive green initiatives through the Recycling Team.

Their bright smiles and vibrant energy were infectious throughout the day, a true reflection of the emblem ‘The Selfless One’ which they sported.  Witnessing the bliss of working together in harmony, our young volunteers have reminded us of the simple joys that come from helping others, and that in giving kindness, we receive so much more in return.

Gearing up in the morning.

Helping out anyone who needed a hand.

Friends from UPM Buddhist Society also joined in the fun!

Even though the Recycling Team had a tough job, they supported each other well and felt the joy and happiness in service.

‘We will sort your refuse with joy!’

Nalanda Youth Centre extends their gratitude to Nalanda management and leaders for their guidance and support.  With this established camaraderie, may the youths continue to support one another in their learning and service.  Sadhu!

Leading the morning salutations.

Performing a hymn for all visitors.

Lead of this year’s Youth Organising Committee for Family Fair Fun, Bro. Dexel Loo extending his heartfelt thanks to everyone.
